About WOGO
We are building Claude Code for mechanical design.
An AI that reads 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, then understands, generates and verifies the design itself. We are a startup out of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at the University of Tokyo, solving this with computational geometry algorithms and AI. No standard answer exists anywhere in the world yet. These are the kinds of problems:
- Make a computer decide whether two shapes are the same design
- Find the blast radius of a change across parts that all depend on each other
- Build geometry operations that hold up on real data full of gaps and inconsistent naming
- Design the metrics and the benchmark themselves, because none exist yet
Algorithms are this company's competitive advantage. We rate the people who build libraries above the people who use them, and CAD or manufacturing experience is not required.
About 30 engineers, including AtCoder warm-color rated members, alumni of AI research labs and PhD researchers. Our earlier product WIDAR reached a million users worldwide and was featured at Apple WWDC. Driven by that technical strength, we are now building a product that can compete globally in manufacturing design.

From geometry, optimization and machine learning to front-end, back-end and infrastructure. At WOGO we do not build walls around roles or specialties. What we look for is not someone who can do a bit of everything, but someone who can go deep in one field and still cross into other domains when that is what solving the problem takes. Start by delivering in your strongest area, then step into unfamiliar technology without hesitation, because we know that is the shortest route to growing fast and outpacing who you were yesterday. No precedent,

We take on problems nobody has solved yet. The phase of settling for recycled, off-the-shelf technology is over. Our reason for existing is to put genuinely new technology into the world, the kind that is a first anywhere in the world. Deep technical insight and rigorous thinking are how we turn the impossible into the shipped. We believe that difficulty, and that excitement, is what draws the best engineers.

Almost everyone, as a child, dreamed of the kind of technology you would find in Doraemon's pocket. WOGO was founded by a generation that grew up with Japanese animation and the rise of the internet. Unbound by conventional logic and driven simply by the urge to make things that are good and new, we keep working toward what we call the engineers' ideal factory.
There is real concern today about the future of manufacturing and the technology industry, and the value of engineers themselves is being questioned as AI advances. From where we stand, though, there has never been a more interesting moment: technology that was out of reach is about to become real, one piece after another.
WOGO is not a company that repackages existing technology. We aim to create new ideas and new technology faster than anyone and put them into the world. And rather than being people who merely use AI, we intend to co-evolve with it and set the standard for how things get made in this new era.
