WOGO Launches Hacadly AI Agent, Achieving Over 2x the Rebuild Success Rate of the Latest AI in Converting 2D Drawings to 3D

On November 5, 2026, WOGO Inc. launched Hacadly AI Agent, which autonomously carries out drawing and 3D CAD work in mechanical design. Hacadly AI Agent is a design support service that combines large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude with WOGO’s own 2D drawing processing and 3D geometry processing technology. Based on instructions given in a chat, it reads drawings and CAD data, then generates, checks and corrects the models.

Its main uses are generating 3D models from 2D drawings and rebuilding features in CAD data with no history, such as STEP files. It puts past drawings and drawings or CAD data received from business partners to work in 3D studies, dimension changes, derivative designs and the creation of 3D models for CAM.

Use case 1: Generate 3D models from 2D drawings

Upload a 2D drawing in DXF or PDF (vector format recommended), and it reads the geometry, dimensions and annotations across multiple views and generates a 3D model in STEP format. It also restores attribute information attached to features, such as thread attributes.

In our in-house benchmark, we evaluated 23 cases including PDF and DXF drawings: 9 sheet metal, 10 machined and 4 fabricated parts. A case counted as a successful rebuild when no mismatch was found in the outline, dimensions, holes and bends shown in the drawing.

  • Hacadly AI Agent: 23/23 (rebuild success rate 100.0%)
  • Claude (with tools): 11/23 (47.8%)
  • Claude (without tools): 9/23 (39.1%)

Hacadly passed the geometry evaluation in all 23 cases, achieving about 2.1x and about 2.6x the rebuild success rate of the two comparison systems.

Use case 2: Rebuild editable features from CAD data without history

From 3D models with no feature history, such as STEP files, it rebuilds single-part CAD models with sketches, extrusions, revolves, holes and other features. Sheet thickness, bend radius, hole diameter and step dimensions can then be changed as values, so received parts can be used for dimension changes and for derivative designs based on existing parts. It does not reproduce the original designer’s operation history itself; instead, it also uses machining knowledge of sheet metal and machined parts to generate a new feature structure that makes dimension changes and reuse as easy as possible.

In our in-house benchmark, we evaluated history validity and shape reproduction on 20 parts (10 sheet metal, 10 machined), then ran 34 edit tests that change sheet thickness, bend radius, hole diameter, hole position and step diameter or length only by changing parameter values in the existing history.

  • Hacadly AI Agent: exact shape reproduction 20/20 parts, edits 33/34 (pass rate 97.1%)
  • Claude (with tools): exact shape reproduction 20/20 parts, edits 28/34 (82.4%)
  • Claude (without tools): exact shape reproduction 13/20 parts, edits 20/34 (58.8%)

All comparisons used Claude Opus 5.5 as the generative AI model and evaluate the whole system, including geometry processing. The feature rebuild evaluation was carried out in FreeCAD. In actual deployments, the agent is set up to suit your environment, such as an add-in connection to the parametric CAD you use.

Offering overview

Hacadly AI Agent is provided as software installed on each user’s device and connects to the CAD you use as an add-in, so it fits into your existing design environment. For enterprises, user devices can connect to a generative AI environment in a cloud managed by the customer, in which case data does not pass through WOGO servers. We also support setting up that generative AI environment.

  • Available from: November 5, 2026
  • Delivery: software installed on user devices
  • CAD integration: connected to suit the CAD and work environment you use
  • Generative AI connection: supports connecting to a generative AI environment in a cloud managed by the customer
  • Implementation support: selecting target tasks, verification with real data, CAD integration and building an in-house generative AI environment
  • Pricing and supported environments: please contact us

Next steps

WOGO will broaden the mechanical design work Hacadly AI Agent supports and expand the part shapes, assemblies and CAD environments it covers. We will also connect it with Hacadly 3D Automated Design Verification, Hacadly Automated 2D Drafting and other products, aiming to support the whole chain of work from reusing design assets to generating, correcting and verifying models and creating drawings.
